UPDATE for Blender 2.9+ / Blender 3.0+
This course has been fully updated to work seamlessly with the latest versions of Blender. This update is completely free of charge for all students which bought the course in the past, even for everyone that joined back then, when the first version of the course was released, in 2017.
And that’s not all! More new parts are coming to the course soon, again, free for all students which already bought (or will buy) this course.
Learn to create 3D Sculptings you can be proud of
This course teaches you all important Blender sculpting fundamentals and how to create stunning 3D sculptures from scratch, using only free tools.
You have a basic understanding on how to use Blender, and now you want to level up your skills, by diving into the great sculpting tool set Blender offers.
The tutorials you can find online are giving you a basic idea, but they don't teach you how to create stunning high-quality sculptures, in a step-by-step approach.
That is why we created this comprehensive course to give you an easy and fun guide into the world of digital sculpting.
No previous sculpting knowledge is required. We teach you the fundamentals, with simple exercises, and then step-by-step guide you into more advanced sculpting workflows.
After going through this course, you have done multiple small sculpting exercises and created some high-quality creature sculptings. Then you will be prepared to turn any 2D character or creature concept into a digital sculpting.
Everything you need to learn about digital sculpting in ONE place
This course will teach you everything that is important to start your digital sculpting journey in Blender. All the important brushes, tools, settings and workflows are explained, and you will learn the full sculpting process on multiple practical exercises.
No need for gathering online videos from different sources.
Suitable for sculpting beginners
No matter if you never sculpted before or if you have some knowledge, this course focuses on quality content suitable for both, sculpting beginners and intermediate artists.
However, it is assumed, that you know how to use Blender in general, like navigation, basic modeling tools etc.
We highly recommend taking our comprehensive Blender Launch Pad course first (there is a special discount at the checkout page when purchasing this course). The minimum Blender knowledge you need, you can also find in our free Blender Beginners course.
No paid add-ons or tools necessary
In this course we will only work with Blender, which is completely free and might combine it with other free add-ons and tools.
Get help along the way
We take all efforts to make our courses as understandable and easy to follow as possible. However, if it still happens that you get stuck along the way, you can ask for help in the discussion section under each lesson or in our CG Boost community. The CG Boost team and other students are there to help you.
Thorough structured in high quality
Currently, (with part 1, 2 and partially 3 out), over 21+ hrs of content awaits you. To make this easy to chew, we split the course into multiple chapters and currently 150+ short and fun videos, mostly between 5 and 15 minutes long. The videos can be streamed online, or be fully downloaded.

Your Instructor
Zach Reinhardt is the founder of CG Boost and a passioned 3D artist and instructor, he will guide you through this course.
"Getting started into the world of Blender and 3D, can be really frustrating and overwhelming. I know exactly how that feels. When I started with Blender and 3D in 2004, I had no one explaining to me how all of this works, I had no YouTube tutorials and basically no internet.
I had to figure out many things on my own, which was sometimes really painful and took me a long time. But this doesn't stop me from pursuing my dreams and eventually becoming a freelance 3D artist and instructor, making my living with Blender, 3D art and education.
Although it was worth all the trouble in the end, now looking back at my beginnings, I wished I had someone taking me by the hand and guiding me, to understand, how to create beautiful 3D art.
In my experience working on client projects as a freelance 3D artist and teaching Blender to companies, freelancers, and individuals in the past for 7+ years, I’ve identified typical pain points, that can make your 3D journey unnecessarily hard, when learning Blender.
That’s why I carefully craft Blender courses, so you don’t have to go through the same troubles I had to go through, and make your way into the 3D world less painful and more fun."
We recommend using a Graphics Tablet
Sculpting with a mouse is not much fun (although it’s possible), that's why we recommend to use a graphics tablet when taking the course. These tables come with a pen and can detect the pen pressure when sculpting, which provides a much more intuitive and precise sculpting experience.
A graphics tablet without a screen and in small size does the job already. We recommend products from XP-Pen or Wacom.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can't find the answer to your question? Contact us here or use the chat below.
When does the course start and finish?
The course starts now and never ends! It is a completely self-paced online course - you decide when you start and when you finish.
How long do I have access to the course?
How does lifetime access sound? After enrolling, you have unlimited access to this course for as long as you like - across any and all devices you own.
What if I am unhappy with the course?
We would never want you to be unhappy! If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, contact us in the first 30 days, and we will give you a full refund.
Is this course suitable for beginners?
Yes, the course is suitable for sculpting beginners. However, we won't cover the general basics of Blender here.
We highly recommend taking our comprehensive Blender Launch Pad course first (there is a special discount at the checkout page when purchasing this course). The minimum Blender knowledge you need, you can also find in our free Blender Beginners course.
Do I need a graphics tablet to take the course?
Using a graphics tablet is highly recommended, because sculpting with a mouse is not much fun (although it’s possible). These tables come with a pen and can detect the pen pressure when sculpting, which provides a much more intuitive and precise sculpting experience.
A graphics tablet without a screen and in small size does the job already. We recommend products from XP-Pen or Wacom.
Do I need a powerful system to use the sculpting tools in Blender?
Yes! To have fun while sculpting (we will work with many polygons) a medium to high-end computer is recommended. Check the Blender system requirements here.
Will you teach human anatomy in this course?
No, this course will not teach you anatomy. This course is focusing on sculpting tools, workflows and applying what you've learned on creative creature sculptings.
What Blender version is used in the course?
In the course, we are using Blender version 2.9+ and 3+. We recommend using the latest build of Blender 3, since we will use some of its new features. Besides Blender, we are only using other free tools and add-ons, no paid tools are required.
When will the other parts be released?
We decided to split the course into 4 parts, to give you access to it earlier, so you can start learning right away. Part 1, 2 and 3 (partially) are already available, the rest of part 3 and 4 will be published later. Check the course curriculum section above, to learn more about when the other parts will be released.
Do I have to pay extra for the other parts?
No! All parts are included in one price, and they will be added to the same course when they are finished. So you will find them added to the current lessons then.
When you take the time to learn sculpting properly, practice creating different shapes and learn to use a graphics tablet, it can become a really satisfying process.
Opening up Blender, knowing what all the different sculpting tools and brushes you have at your disposal do, and just concentrating on the creative sculpting process, is what you will be able after taking this course.
Now, I am super excited to take you with me on this exciting journey into the world of digital sculpting.
